You found it! Here is the post that has the invite link. But before you get started you need to setup a Gmail account. Don’t worry, you can link your current email account and get all your mail in one inbox. Then you’ll need a Google Profile. This tutorial will get you started.

Already have a Gmail account and a Google Profile? Click Here

STEP 1:

Click here to go to the Gmail signup page.

If you get lost setting up your Gmail to import your current email click here.

STEP 2:

Create a Google profile. This way we can tell who you are even if you have an email address like “crazydoglover@gmail.com”. Click Here to learn how to setup your profile.

STEP 3:

Now for the fun part!

After you have a Google profile you are ready for Google Plus. Here’s the link to get your invitation: LINK

Now you can go read the tutorials on finding friends (and family) and then on setting up a Hangout to chat with everyone!

Google Plus, Google’s own social sharing venture, has been around for a little over a month now and it has grown exponentially in members. Even though the service is still in “field trial” as of this writing, the best features are in place and ready for us to use. One of those “best features” in my opinion is Hangouts. These video chats provide the opportunity for family and friends to get together online and feel like they are in the same room! See the video below for an overview. After watching you should setup your Google Profile. Click the link “Invite me” to do this and sign up for Google Plus. This will take you through a brief tutorial on how to setup your own Google Plus account and get started. Then, look for a hangout on your Google Plus page.
