Orange fever

Have you ever seen an orange sportbike? Chances are you haven’t! That’s why when I decided to give my 2000 CBR a facelift I chose orange. The only motorcycles I have seen this color are online on Google. A few factory colors are close to orange but they are usually burnt orange or reddish orange. My bike is not a factory color. In fact, I used Krylon Pumpkin Orange. A new color from the company that can be found at most paint stores and even Walmart (my favorite store!)

The first step in the process was to disassemble the bike. So it quickly went from this:..
To this:..

Then came the sticker removal (a huge pain) sanding:

Now it was time to prime the pieces:

On the third night all the pieces were primed and ready for paint:

Finally, after many coats of paint and some custom work the finished product was ready:

And ready to assemble:

The finished product looks great!

And we’re ready to ride!

See all the pictures in my photo album at myspace.com/kevasus.

Now let’s see how it looks on one wheel!!!

More pictures on that subject coming later on.

Bike Night

On a recent bike night a couple of the guys decided to do some burnouts, here’s the result:

And some random pics of us riding… Maybe next time someone else can hold the camera so I can get in some pictures!
